We don’t just teach how to play an instrument or sing - we teach music. Our mission is to enrich peoples’ lives through the joy of music and the many experiences it offers. We teach our students to love and understand music and have fun learning.

Since 1990 we have been providing quality music education to local communities of Sharon, Canton, Walpole, Westwood, Norton, Easton, Mansfield, Foxboro, Sharon, Brockton, Medfield, Franklin, Stoughton, North Attleboro, Norfolk, Norwood, Hopedale, Braintree and Plainville. Students from 26 local communities come to our Academy to receive high quality music instructions.

We offer private lessons in most of the popular musical instruments:  piano, violin, guitar, viola, cello, flute, clarinet, saxophone and voice. And if  you are uncertain what instrument to choose you can try all of them at our Academy. We don't just teach how to play an instrument - we provide complete music education through our variety of courses and programs such as music theory, music history and ear training.

Children of all ages greatly benefit from music education. Our unique music programs for preschoolers  introduce young minds to music and help children develop general learning skills that they can use beyond musical studies: focus and concentration, cognitive abilities, motor skills, social skills and hand-eye coordination.

Whether you want to compete in international competitions or just to play at home, our instructors, who are graduates of the world's best music colleges and conservatories will help you achieve your goals. And because every person is unique and has different goals we don’t use any cookie-cutter methodology - we individually tailor our teaching process to each student. Our teaching approach is based on centuries of proven European and American tradition.

Why so many people choose Sharon Music Academy? Because of high quality of our music education, personalized approach to teaching and unrivalled opportunities we offer our students to express themselves through music:

Victories, Awards, ...

This year our students successfully represented Sharon Music Academy in various music competitions. Read about it in our Press Release. In June our students collected an impressive collection of awards at the 2009 Young Promise International Music Competition.

Our Teachers in the Media

Many of our instructors are actively performing and recording artists, well known in the music world. One of them is Ashley Paul - our saxophone/clarinet instructor. November issue of the prestigious British music magazine WIRE features her portrait and review of her latest CD "DOL": "… DOL is an intriguing hybrid, merging long-form tones with primitivist DIY clatter and Improve dissonance. Paul handles the mutually antagonistic idioms with aplomb and a winning mixture of accuracy …”. You can ask Ashley to autograph her CD.

Congratulations Brandon

Our former student Brandon Bloch, now at his second year at UPenn, adds one more reward to his collection. Brandon has won 2008-2009 UPenn Concerto Competition and will be playing with Penn Symphony orchestra in March. Amazingly, Brandon is not majoring in music.
